SECTION 4 – WooCommerce
Our shop is hosted on WooCommerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is proccessed through WooCommerce’s data storage, databases and the general WooCommerce application. They shop your data on a secure server in South Africa, behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then WooCommerce shops your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is securely handled only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set WooCommerce as managed by the South African Internet Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Payfast, Visa and MasterCard.
WooCommerce requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our shop and its service providers.
SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all FNB Bank requirements and implement additional generally ccepted industry standards.

You also warrant that you will notify us immediately of any changes to your personal information by updating your online account or contacting our Customer Service team via email or through one of the methods outlined above.

This site is governed by South African law. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such contracts shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
If our shop is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
SECTION 10 – Data Protection
To abide by the changing data protection laws, we have followed a legitimate interest and re-consent campaign for all email addresses stored on our database. We followed this legitimate interest rule: If anyone has engaged with an Koofy Coffee SA email or transacted on www.koofycoffee.co.za the last 2 years. Anyone who doesn’t fit this criteria will be receive an email asking them to opt-in. Anyone who fails to opt-in will have their information removed.
